FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions:

When are Tryouts?
Tryouts for the Fall Season are in the early/mid summer. Tryouts for the Spring Season are in the late fall. Please see our Tryouts page for updated information.

How much does it cost?

Annual player registration fees are $300 and due upon signing the contract and committing to Folsom Baseball Club. The annual registration fees cover the costs for insurance, one hat, one practice shirt, field use and maintenance, FAA fees and admin fees. The manager of each team will determine the team fees for each season and vary from $200-500. Team fees will include, but are not limited to: equipment, field rentals, facility use fees, team activities, Game Changer, Team Snap, umpire fees (if applicable) miscellaneous team bonding meals/activities as decided by the coaching staff.

Is there financial assistance available?
Members who cannot afford to pay the participation fee should notify the President of Folsom Baseball Club in writing. The president will determine if there is a financial or circumstantial need. The FBC is also a member of the Folsom Athletic Association, which provides a Youth Financial Assistance Scholarship Program providing financial assistance for all Folsom youth residents desiring to participate in Community Youth Sports Leagues (CYSL) who could not otherwise participate due to financial restrictions. Currently each eligible participant generally receives $100 towards the current registration fee for any one youth sport. Application is available upon request.

What is the time commitment?
Each team practices at least 2 evenings per week, with games and/or tournaments on weekends. We also ask that parents and players participate in fundraising efforts which vary by team.

What age groups do you have?
We currently have players age 10 to 14, playing on 11U, 12U, 13U and 14U teams.

Can my child play little league or other sports and also join your team?
Each team manager will determine their policy, but in general, if little league or other sport play is allowed, we ask that the Flames practices and games take priority over little league or other sports' practices and games.
